Events:
We have organized and/or have participated in 7-8 events in 2013.  That is a very encouraging number.  Please see the listings and pictures in Past Events and Photo Album.

Data about the Association (as provided by MIT Alumni/ae Office):
Given below are the relevant statistics about MIT SAAA.  Over all, our percentage of participation/engagement (defined by different norms) is about 20 percent on average, and that's a very hopeful number.

1. To date, 3,000 alumni are coded South Asia alumni
2. 1,510 (50.30%) are considered engaged. All of you attending tonight are maybe considered engaged. Those who volunteer in some capacity are counted. Those who attend AA, Club or other MIT events are counted. Those who give to MIT are counted.  Note: Those who logged in to register for this event are definitely counted. Those who did not log in will most probably not be counted.
3. 498 (33%) are virtually engaged. Those who logged in to the MIT Infinite Connection
4. 173 (11.50%) are engaged Face to Face (attending events or meetings)
5. 133 (8.80%) are donors to the Institute
6. 38 (2.50%) are attending events and are giving
7. 138 (9.10%) are logging in and are giving to the Institute
8. 414 (27.40%) are logging in and attending events
9. 115 (7.70%) are doing all three.
